As part of our Best Laptop Backpack post, we took an in-depth look at the [easyazon_link asin=”B002SXMRO4″ locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”becaonlubl-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]SwissGear SA1923 ScanSmart Backpack – Black[/easyazon_link]. It has a very large organizer pocket that can hold up to a 15″ laptop. Like many of the other backpacks, padded shoulder straps help make the journey more comfortable. An airflow backing system helps the contents breathe while the water bottle pocket allows you to stay hydrated no matter where you go with this backpack. An eyeglass holder and audio and media pocket help give you compartments for everything you need to be productive.
Pros: This backpack has lots of space and compartments. Anything from a padded laptop compartment to a thin compartment for important documents to a main compartment that has vertical dividers, this backpack is phenomenal for students. In addition to that, it has a dedicated iPod/cell phone pouch that has a headphone cord slit. On the outside of the bag, there’s a decent sized pocket that can be used for a laptop charger. The water bottle pocket is big enough for a one liter bottles and/or umbrella. The bottom pocket has smaller organizer pockets for pens and pencils and other small items. It’s incredibly well padded to take all the bumps one can throw at it.
Cons: Not many, but if we have to be picky the opening for the laptop is on the side (not the top) which makes it a little awkward to get in and out. The padding on the bottom of the bag leaves a little to be desired, but is as much as average laptop bags. Careful when setting it down too hard. In terms of size, it probably would be too small for a 17″ laptop but just fine for a 15.6″.
